The whole wide room

I got a new, wider-angle lens this week, so to test it out I took a few wider-angle shots of rooms in our house. I always think it’s nice when photos show how rooms are put together rather than just vignettes, so here you go! (For other camera nerds, the lens is a Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8. I love it so far!)

Emily! Gorgeous home!! Can I ask where the roman shades in your bedroom are from? They’re just what I’ve been looking for!ReplyCancel

  • Thanks, Emily! Unfortunately, I can’t tell you where the shades in the bedroom are from because they were put there by the previous owners (who had very good taste, so I’ve never felt the urge to change them). But I’ve seen similar-looking shades in the past on and Good luck hunting!ReplyCancel

What a beautiful home you have! There are SO many pieces that catch my eye. Do you mind sharing the make/design/source of your dining room chairs and the fabulous white chairs that are on your deck? (are they the same as the two you have sitting in front of your fireplace?)Thank you for sharing the pictures of your lovely home!!ReplyCancel

  • I love your mix of the modern white panton chairs with the older, dark dining table (Argh! I don’t know what that era that furniture is from! Or what it is called).ReplyCancel

  • OMG…I don’t know how that happened..i had just written to let you know that i had used an image of your gorgeous dining room in my post today( wasn’t aware of the source at that time of posting)..I have now credited it and linked back to check it out when you have a moment! xx meenalReplyCancel

Hi Emily! I just came across photos of your home (and your blog) via Stephmodo. I am crushing out on everything, but most especially on your farm table. Was this a vintage table? Any ideas where I can get something similiar?

I also love the roman shades in your bedroom. What material is it made of — it looks like heavy, rough cotton.

    Thank you!ReplyCancel
