Baseball wasn’t our only experience in Cape Cod. We took time to enjoy plenty of other beautiful things too: the ocean, lakes, beaches, boats, whales, lighthouses, wineries, antique stores, lobsters, hydrangeas (oh my goodness, the hydrangeas!)… Most of these photos were made possible by our extremely knowledgeable and patient local tour guide — thanks a million, Dick! The beauty of the Cape is truly something to behold:
Today I’m digging in the archives to show you some photos from last year’s summer vacation. That’s right: from July 2010! (As a result of my consistent inability to process vacation photos in a timely fashion, my husband has instituted a new policy: no more vacations until the photos from the last vacation are finished!)![]()
We went to Cape Cod last summer to watch my husband’s cousin, Matt Crouse, pitch in the Cape Cod summer league for the Brewster (“Brew-stah”) Whitecaps. Not only is it a gorgeous setting for summer baseball, it was also the perfect place to hone my Boston accent! Plus, Matt was great. In fact, he got drafted by the Detroit Tigers this year and is currently pitching for the Class A Connecticut Tigers. So I hope he’ll enjoy these photos from last year, even though he’s now on to bigger and better things…

While I am still working on processing the massive amount of photos from France, plus the new photos I took on our quick trip to Coronado last weekend, I thought I’d share a few pretty vignettes from around my house today. Fresh flowers make me happy!
