Yes, I realize that we’re just days from Christmas, and I’m sharing Halloween photos! Please humor me. I’ve been swamped and neglecting the blog since taking on some part-time legal work, but I wanted to share a few of my favorite shots from October before the calendar rolls over!
Quinn had such a good time at the pumpkin patch this year. He walked around patting all the pumpkins, looking for “yucky” spots to point out to us.
And when we brought a few pumpkins home and set them out, he amused himself for hours pretending to clean them with a scrub brush and then putting stickers all over them. So funny!
Here are a few shots of our other Halloween decorations:
An orange front door comes in especially handy in October! Also, I discovered that I may have morbid decorative leanings: most of our so-called “Halloween” decorations–the black skull candle and glass dome, the spooky candelabra, the black porcelain hand, the creepy eye plate–were things I already owned!
And finally, Quinn’s Halloween costume. This year we dressed him up as Mike Holmes, Holmes Inspector, of HGTV fame. Quinn is obsessed with tools (not plastic ones–real ones only!) and helping us with work around the house, so this was a particularly appropriate get-up.
