Our nursery!

I’ve been sitting on some big news for awhile now: my husband and I are having a baby! And we are totally over-the-moon excited. It’s a boy, and he’s due May 16 — just about six weeks from now, I can hardly believe it! So we’ve been hard at work on the nursery, and today I thought I’d share how it’s shaping up…

And here’s a few shots of my very patient husband putting the crib together. Thank goodness for all his help — without his muscle, none of this would ever have gotten done!

Amazing! Stunning! I like how you’ve moved things around from other places in the house. So fun to see :)

Beautiful nursery! Where did you get that awesome shelf/cubbie set?

Emily - April 22, 2012 - 7:44 pm

Thanks, Tracy! The shelf is the Expedit from IKEA, and it comes in lots of configurations and colors.

I really love your nursery! I’m expecting a little boy in aug. and was wondering where your rocking chair is from? I’ve been looking everywhere.

Emily - April 24, 2012 - 1:02 pm

Thanks, Lauren! The rocking chair is by Nurseryworks, which is carried by a number of online sellers. The chair is REALLY comfortable, we love it!

Where did the cube shelves come from? I am looking for exactly the same thing.

Emily - April 25, 2012 - 9:19 am

Tiffany, the shelves are the Expedit shelves from IKEA. They have lots of different cube shelving options!

This is all so beautiful. Could you share your sources? Specifically, I’d love to know where the crib and the white/yellow sheet are from.

Gorgeous! Can I ask where the mobile is from?

Aubrey - April 12, 2013 - 8:30 am

Amazing nursery! Just gorgeous! I have been searching and searching for that mobile as well. Don’t know who it’s by, where its from or anything. Would you mind sharing? By DIY attempts at it have failed miserably. Thanks!

Emily - April 12, 2013 - 4:24 pm

Thanks, Aubrey! The mobile is a Calder-style piece that I purchased from The Abstract Home. I hope you find one you like as well!
