My philosophy . . .

I love working with people who are fun.  Genuine.  Real.  And that’s what my photography is really all about: capturing the real you.  I can see the connections between the members of your family and the beauty in each one of you -- and that’s what I want to capture with my camera.

I don’t do the typical matching-outfits portraits, or the canvas-backdrop-strobe-lighting-say-cheese portraits.  I don’t want you to worry about having perfect hair, perfect smiles, and the kids on their best behavior.  Relax.  Have fun.  Be yourself.  I want to show you your family the way I see it through my lens: happy, beautiful, flawless in spite of the flaws.

So when I show up for your session, you don’t have to do any pretending.  Just be real.  I like t-shirts and jeans and flip-flops.  And jammies.  And mussed up hair and lollipop-stained faces.  I love hugs and tickle fights and peals of laughter, and snuggles and kisses too.  These things are real.  This is the way I want to remember my family, and it’s the way I want to help you remember yours.

A Christmas miracle

Emily McCall Photography - Dallas portrait photography

Isn’t he the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen?!  This is my nephew, Paxton Ryan, who was born on Christmas Eve.  He weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces, measured 19.5 inches, and made his much-anticipated appearance at 7:51 p.m.  Everyone is absolutely crazy over him!

Here’s his amazing mom, who you met a few weeks ago . . .

And here was the text message from dad that delivered the good news to everyone in the waiting room:

Meet Miller!

Check out this cutie!  Miller Benjamin was born at 3:15 a.m. on December 8 — he weighed in at 7 pounds, 5 ounces, and measured 19.5 inches.  I met his big brother back in September, so I was really excited to get to see the whole family again, especially with this adorable new addition!  Miller was only five days old for our shoot, and I know newborns can’t really smile and all, but Miller was awake and grinning throughout our whole session!

I love this one — it’s my new favorite!

Look at that face!

Here’s Miller with his big brother . . .

And one more of Jake, because I just can’t resist that face!

Seriously, these boys are just too much sweetness — I love ‘em!  Check out Miller’s SLIDESHOW here!
